Easter Endurance - 5 Game KoW Tournament

So an interesting concept was devised by Matt Dewsnap to pull in 5 games in one day.
x2 games at 1000pts 30min per game
x1 game at 1500pts 40min per game
x2 games at 2000pts 40 then 45 min per game

So a 5 round tourney in a day, hmm

So after a 2 1/2 hr drive with top down come sun, wind or rain I arrive at Entoyment.

Round 1: Dominate

1000pts
Opponent: Kerry Dewsnap
Race: Nature
Tight game, and started my roll of double ones that went through the day.
Two in this round alone.
Very good tap dance ensured with both our unit Strength cancelling out each other.
Result: Draw

Round 2: Invade

1000pts
Opponent: Toby
Race: Varnguur
Brutal Varnagurr off, with my army devastating the opponents despite several double ones, and ending with my units in his deployment zone having taken his last unit off the table.
Result: Win

Round 3: Loot

1500pts
Opponent: Danny Graves
Race: Brotherhood
army for me just did not gel at 1500pts, and Danny out played me.
Result: Loss

Round 4: Kill

2000pts
Opponent: George Kirke
Race: Nightstalkers
Brutal slug fest against a windblast 57 stalker army.
I knew with the amount of flying I would lose flanks, but tried to only lose a flank and front or just a rear to their charges as knew i "should" be able to withstand that attack.
At 55pts kill difference in a Kill scenario, a very good draw and excellent game.
Result: Draw

Round 5: Control

2000pts
Opponent: Danny Graves
Race: Brotherhood
So we meet again...
Blizzard finally pulled off something better than a fart and one shotted his devoted on first turn.
This kind of set the pace for the game.
I left a unit in the deployment zone screened by woods and a height 3 hill (was very large high hill), who ended up claiming that zone.
Wavering came home to roost, with Danny wavering Cavern Dwellers and Warband alike.
The two 1/2VP zones were hotly contested, with myself managing to control the 2VP and cancel the 1/2VP.
Score: 4-1
Result: Win

Summary

Great day out.
Won most double 1s for the day (7 in total) and also came in 3rd! My highest placing at an event.
1500pts list will need to change and was not feeling it. Will work it around the double fang, double frost and ....
